Omar Ayuso is a Spanish actor and model who is known for his portrayal of the gay Muslim teenager, Omar Shana,a in the Netflix series, Elite, which debuted in 2018.

Across seven seasons of the show, Ayuso’s performance and character arc of struggling with his identity while navigating through relationships has garnered significant acclaim from critics and audiences alike.

Born on March 26, 1998, Elite’s Omar Shanaa actor, Omar Ayuso is 25 years old in 2023.

However, his character in the show’s seventh season is three years younger than him in real life. Omar Shanaa was between 18–19 years old in Season 1 and is confirmed to be 22 in Season 7. He comes from a strict Muslim family that’s originally from Palestine. Due to his family’s conservative beliefs and his strained relationship with his father, he doesn’t reveal his homosexuality to his parents.
