Vani Hari, aka the Food Babe, who has also been vocal about her support for Robert F Kennedy Jr. (President Trump’s nominee for HHS secretary), recently opened up about how one can alter their eating habits for better health.
Talking to Fox News Digital, she spoke about how being concious about what she eats, has changed her for the better. She also such an approach has helped her with ailments such as asthma, and eczema, and now she is off the medications.
According to Vani Hari, these nutritious tips have helped her in her health and wellness journey.
Read the ingredient labels
Vani Hari believes that it is important that you know what you are eating. So, reading the ingredients label is crucial. She said that it is crucial to understand what you’re putting in your body. She says such an awareness of what you are eating, will help you to realize that the majority of the chemicals added in processed foods are to benefit the food industry and not your health. Only by knowing this, one would be able to make better choices.
Take ‘ownership’ of what you eat
Hari advises to cook food at home. This way, you will be able to avoid accidentally consuming something processed or containing an ingredient that would be avoided otherwise. She urges you to take ownership of your food and cook at home. By cooking at home, people will be able to understand what they are eating, and how it would impact their body. According to Hari, by cooking at home, people are not “outsourcing to the food industry” for their choices of what to eat.

The Food Babe believes in maintaining a clean diet. Though you may find it hard to avoid some of your favourite foods, you can always find healthy alternative choices. Hari explains that simple things like switching store-bought breakfast cereals to their ‘natural version’, which does not contain refined sugar or artificial ingredients are better for health. She also recommends buying from brands that do not have MSG or artificial food dyes.
Vani Hari also has figured out how to satisfy your fast-food cravings. She recommends making french fries at home with beef tallow or in an air fryer!
Keep it simple

Eating clean does not mean you have to pick fancy ingredients. Keep it simple. Hari suggests choosing real food, one-ingredient foods as much as possible.
Shop local
Another important tip to make your diet nutritious is shopping local, according to Food Babe. Source your grocery staples from the local farmers market. Keep an eye out for certified organic food.
