3-year-old child dies as a result of earthquake in Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM – A three-year-old child died as a result of an earthquake in eastern Tajikistan, Sputnik Tajikistan reports, citing the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense.
Three earthquakes have occurred in eastern Tajikistan. 5 magnitude earthquake occurred at 9:24 am, 4 magnitude earthquake at 12:14 pm, and 3 magnitude earthquake at 1:33 pm.
All aftershocks were recorded northeast of Dushanbe in Rasht district, at a distance of 158 to 163 kilometers from the capital of Tajikistan.
29 houses and one school were destroyed, the Committee for Emergency Situations noted. Of the total number of destroyed houses, 17 houses and one school are in Rasht district, and 12 are in Tojikobod.
A commission of the Committee for Emergency Situations is working in the area of the earthquake to assess the damage.
