😮‍💨 Emphatic 7-1: Germany celebrate biggest win of the small-sided Euros

After their victory against the Czech Republic, the German small-sided football national team followed up today. Against Georgia, the German squad won 7:1 and made a strong statement.

Germany took the lead with two quick goals early on and had everything under control from that point forward. The scorers were Chandra (2nd minute) and Giardini (4th minute), two familiar faces from the Icon League.

Afterwards, Fries (12th, 19th) scored a brace and Wurm (13th) capitalized on a goalkeeper error, so the team went into halftime with a 5:0 lead.

After the break, the Georgians scored early, but Winkel sealed the game in the 25th minute. Wurm (26th) put the finishing touch with a dream goal – he plucked a long ball from Mehl out of the air and casually slotted it into the net.

After that, the pace noticeably slowed and the team no longer played with full intensity. This was certainly due to load management, as the Germans have to play again this evening.

At 8 p.m., they will face Albania. Small-sided football expert and FC OneFootball coach Marc Müller expects a completely different game with higher intensity.

Albania needs to score points after their weak start against Georgia, while Germany is playing for the group win.

The German national team now leads the group with six points and is almost certainly through to the knockout stage. Today’s emphatic victory is a clear message to the competition and marks the biggest win of the European Championship so far.
