飲到最後

電影《夜王》有句對白,無論看幾多次,都是我最喜歡的,那就是:「如果真係要熄燈,我哋一定要飲到最後。」

這句話指的不僅是尖東的夜場,更可以是一個地方。「飲到最後」,是個人選擇。每人的選擇不同,當你明知一個地方遲早會熄燈,又或正在熄燈,你會怎麼做?趁燈熄前匆匆拉着行李趕快走人?還是開始嫌棄它光綫漸暗、牆角剝落,失去以前的風采?抑或極度恐慌一味得個驚字?但我相信有些人,包括我在內,是明知燈會熄,還是會選擇坐下來,把杯中的酒慢慢喝完。而且,還要用以往美好日子的樣式飲到最後。

這幾年,香港的氣氛在變。有些熟悉的招牌拆了,有些熱鬧的角落靜了,有些曾經理所當然的人與事,像被風吹散的煙。選擇留低飲到最後的人,不是因為天真,而是因為曾見過那個地方最好的時候,也記得那些好是怎麼一點一滴建立起來的。

留低,是一種姿態的選擇。像一個酒客,明知酒吧會在凌晨兩點準時關門,但他不會在一點半就奪門而出。他會跟老朋友碰杯,說幾句真心話,把最後一滴酒也喝得從容。熄燈之後,外面是天黑,但你心裏有光。那光,是記憶是溫度,是你曾經在這裏笑過、拼過、掙扎過、美好過的證據。

如果一個地方只在她風光時才有人肯留下,那這種關係也太廉價和功利了。留低飲到最後,不是消極地等死,而是積極地選擇在一個地方繼續好好過自己的日子。依我說,何止要飲到最後,還要繼續痛快地、豪情地、無懼地去飲。客觀形勢熄燈與否,不是我們能控制,但姿態如何,是自己揀的。或許,選擇飲到最後的人,也是出於一種對某個地方不言而喻的義氣。因為真正在乎一個地方,不是在它發光時鼓掌,而是在它黯淡時,仍願意為它舉杯。
