去中心化報告顯示,本地市場參與者表示正在擴大相關參與程度且對虛擬資產深感興趣。其中,八成半受訪金融機構計劃在未來三年將虛擬資產納入其核心業務營運。市場參與者認為長遠而言虛擬資產可以創造全新收入來源、降低成本、提升客戶體驗、使業務多元化。但市場參與者亦反映其中的挑戰,如統一定義及治理架構的整體不確定性、滿足打擊洗錢及恐怖分子資金籌集監管要求有困難,以及關注網路安全及數據風險。

元宇宙報告顯示,約有六成半受訪金融機構表示已涉足元宇宙,並認為元宇宙有助提升品牌形象、提供獨特服務、拓展客戶群等,目前主要在市場營銷及推廣、內部營運、人才招聘等場景使用。其面對的主要挑戰包括缺乏認識和用戶興趣、數據私隱,以及平台功能的局限性等。

金融學院行政總裁兼研究中心執行董事馮殷諾表示,現今科技發展一日千里,去中心化金融和元宇宙相關的新興科技與更廣泛的虛擬資產和Web3發展息息相關,有望為香港金融服務業帶來各種機遇。
