想在中年保持身體和精神「in good shape」,首先要接受一個概念:我們正在變老的過程中。 有人或問:「這不是互相矛盾嗎?」我們想養生健康,就是不想老,為何要提醒自己會老呢? 一、人會老化是我們無法叫停的事實。有些人拒絕接受事實,愈怕老的人,愈精神緊張,多了條紋恍如世界末日,搞到自己長期處於anti-aging freak狀態,身體和精神又豈能養出良好境界呢? 二、雖然不能改變人會衰退老化的事實,但絕對可延緩老化過程。提醒自己會老的目的,是愈早展開延緩老化的旅程,就愈能「in good shape」緩慢地老去。 先談談記憶力衰退問題。「Senior moments」是形容初老症狀的偶發健忘,大量研究發現,記憶衰退是人體老化的最早象徵之一。當我們腦部退化時,海馬體、額葉、顳葉體積和大腦血流量會減少,會損害記憶力。若我們發現為甚麼近日更為「無記性」,這或許是身體正在提醒那些初老的「senior moments」出現了。 以下是有臨床數據支持、能改變腦部的營養補充: 一、Omega-3脂肪酸:但不是所有Omega-3都有效,要揀海洋Omega-3,即是DHA和EPA,才能改善腦部血液循環。海鮮、野生三文魚、海藻、螺旋藻等才有DHA和EPA。 二、B雜:不是所有物質都能通過血腦屏障(Blood Brain Barrier/BBB)但B雜當中有八種成分可滲透BBB,維持腦部健康。B雜對中樞神經系統健康極為重要。 三、維他命D:維他命D能幫助腦部清除已證實與失智症有關連的類澱粉蛋白斑塊。曬太陽和吃有機蛋黃最好。 又,銀杏(Ginkgo Biloba)在早年被說成腦部救星,但近年許多大型研究得出的結論是,銀杏葉萃取物對預防失憶或失智未見有幫助。服用過量,甚至會有腦出血和中風的風險。 撰文 : 利嘉敏 欄名 : 攻關女子 Source link
