看過短視頻，內容是小BB聽到大人說，「You are so cute, I love You！」（你很可愛，我愛你！）他便笑得燦爛如太陽。 與此同時，另一BB聽着大人對他說：「You are so bad！We don’t like you！」（你真壞，我們不喜歡你！）他旋即抿嘴，眼有淚水，很快便嘩嘩大哭。 兩位BB未受教育，但聽到語句，便能分辨出語言內容所帶來的感受。 主人對寵物說出指令，「Stop」、「No」縱有千萬個不願，寵物也立刻停止犯規行為；如果牠們聽到「叻仔」、「叻女」，便知道是主人的讚賞，就會搖頭擺尾地纏着。有一次，陪同朋友去探望所飼養的馬匹，牠突然變得驚惶失措，而同行的馬伕神色顯得不安。當發現馬兒肚股間有傷痕，朋友查問之下是馬伕失職導致，馬兒聽到「侵犯者」的聲音，便嚇得魂飛魄散，可見聲音就是語言的載體。 曾到醫院探望已昏迷病危的好友，輕輕地對他說：「喂，老友記，你好叻叻呀！聽醫生話好快就好番，我哋等你出院後再去食好嘢。」他彷似聽到，手指動了一下，最後他敵不過病魔。事隔數年，我們好友聚會也想起他，大家都憶記着，他聽到我們的安慰，展露最後的微笑。 俗語有云「崩口人忌崩口碗」，朋友間閒話家常，互相「八卦」一下，誰沒有呢？但如果說話超越對方底綫，小則傷害彼此感情，重則可能再不是朋友，因此我常常記着「客氣」兩個字。有一位律師朋友，樂天派，富幽默感，常常說笑話；怎料遇上八股佬，他義正嚴詞地說：「你咁喜歡講笑話，每次見到你都是嘻嘻哈哈，唔似做律師喎。」此語一出，律師面色一沉，言者無心？未必，但聽者有意。幸好，開心果律師依然受歡迎，而那位八股佬在朋友圈漸漸被疏遠和冷落。 「口德」對做人處世很重要，閒談莫說人非、不刻薄、忌妄言，常常記着「良言一句三冬暖，惡語傷人六月寒」的道理。 「口布施」是佛教中布施其中一種，強調「口業清淨」，就算沒有宗教信仰，也很欣賞提倡常常對別人所說的讚歎、鼓勵、安慰與關懷，給對方感到希望、信心和支持的善舉，從中廣結善緣，促進互助互愛，消除彼此隔閡；況且都不會花你任何金錢，更可源源不絕地講，只要大家多點同理心、同情心、存善心、說好話，大家都做得到。 ▲ （專欄作家提供） ▲ 「口布施」是佛教中布施其中一種。（專欄作家提供） Source link

聽着老廣東歌走過港島北岸海濱長廊，忽發奇想要吃大牌檔來完成這段本地遊經歷，家住香港但大部分時間都花在大學醫院和相熟餐廳，難得能享受一下香港情懷。 身在西灣河，想不到往哪裏找大牌檔，只知道赤柱正街有「泗益」和「民益」，中學寄宿日子在那裏吃了不少魚蛋粉，現今若有機會回母校聖士提反書院也定必幫襯，尤其是「泗益」那西多士已是網紅名物。 另一大牌檔便是中環士丹利街的「陳泗記」，這路程較合理，反正早已過了午餐時間。招呼醫生的「伙計」完全不像「伙計」，穿緊身運動衣，一身橫練肌肉顯而易見，一星期不去Gym兩三次難有這般效果。醫生問咖啡好還是奶茶好？他便老實地說兩樣都好。見到鄰桌兩位都點蛋牛治，醫生也不甘後人。咖啡是地道大牌檔風味，香港到處咖啡店，找杯靚咖啡不難，但要找經典大牌檔咖啡就不易，再加上熱啡很熱，便知檔主付上心機。蛋牛治近兩吋厚（圖），鹹牛肉也是老味道。若閉上眼睛，醫生彷彿沉浸在七十年代的感覺中。 有人將大牌檔寫成「大排檔」，實則應是「大牌檔」，自一九二一年政府發牌照給流動小販為「小牌」，固定小販為「大牌」，五十年代有牌熟食檔要把這「大牌」放在當眼地方，名字由此而來。但七十年代開始政府因衞生和市容問題不再發牌，持牌人過世後也不能直接傳給後人，從此大牌檔式微，現今全港只有十七個持牌大牌檔，但來港探索的遊客，追尋的就是這份味道與情懷。 陳泗記，加油！香港需要更多用心做美食的大牌檔。 ▲ （專欄作家提供） Source link
