Fans of Pluribus were left hanging on Friday, wondering why there wasn’t a new episode. This is because the sci‑fi series, which usually serves new episodes each Friday on Apple TV+, has adjusted its release calendar. Thus, the next episode isn’t airing until next week.

Why Pluribus didn’t release a new episode today on Apple TV
The most recent episode, Episode 5, was released earlier than planned, arriving mid‑week instead of Friday. This pushed the release schedule forward and means there’s nothing slotted for today under the regular Friday cadence.
The show premiered on November 7, 2025, with its first two episodes, then followed a weekly rollout after that. According to Apple’s release plan:
- Episodes 1 and 2 — November 7
- Episode 3 — November 14
- Episode 4 — November 21
- Episode 5 — officially scheduled for November 28, but released early
Going forward, the schedule will return to normal. So, Episode 6 is expected on December 5, followed by weekly drops through the finale.
Since its premiere, Pluribus has plunged viewers into a dark, post‑apocalyptic world. Episodes 1–2 see Carol navigate a society where nearly everyone is merged into the hive-mind, leaving individuality almost extinct.
By Episodes 3–4, Carol teams up with other resistors and investigates the mysterious sustenance fueling the collective. She realizes it might be a control mechanism and discovers infiltration within her own group, facing ambushes from those unknowingly turned against them. Episode 5, “Got Milk,” sees Carol follow the trail of the weird milk cartons and finds the company behind them is actively pushing people into the hive-mind.
Critics and fans are loving its mash-up of sci-fi and dark, existential comedy, exploring what happens when collective happiness tries to exist in the same space as freedom and individuality. The series is created by Vince Gilligan and stars Rhea Seehorn in the lead role.
