Meet the Parents 4 is in development at Universal Pictures.
Directed by Jay Roach, Meet the Parents is a 2000 comedy movie that starred Ben Stiller as Greg Focker, Robert De Niro as Jack Byrnes, Blythe Danner as Dina Byrnes, and Teri Polo as Pam Byrnes. It is a remake of the 1992 movie of the same name directed by Greg Glienna.
Meet the Parents was followed by two sequels: 2004’s Meet the Fockers and 2010’s Little Fockers. Stiller, De Niro, Danner, and Polo returned for both movies, as did Owen Wilson’s Kevin Rawley. Additionally, Meet the Fockers introduced Dustin Hoffman’s Bernie Focker and Barbra Streisand’s Roz Focker.
According to Deadline, Meet the Parents 4 is now moving forward at Universal Pictures. Stiller, De Niro, Polo, and Danner are all in “early talks” to return for the movie.

John Hamburg, who co-wrote all three of the previous Meet the Parents movies, is returning to pen the fourth one. De Niro and Jane Rosenthal are producing through Tribeca Productions, while Roach serves as a producer through Delirious Media. Stiller and John Lesher will also both produce through Red Hour Films.
Hamburg previously directed 2004’s Along Came Polly, 2009’s I Love You, Man, 2016’s Why Him? and 2022’s Me Time. He also worked on the screenplays for 2001’s Zoolander, 2016’s Zoolander 2, and 2018’s Night School.
A release date for Meet the Parents 4 has not yet been announced.
