Jon Ecker says he’d ‘be stoked’ to return to Chicago Fire
Jon Ecker is currently engaged in the new series, Doc, shared some intriguing updates. In a recent discussion with soapssheknow, he reflected on some of his earliest experiences with his former show. He conveyed that being part of Chicago Fire was a remarkable experience. “What stands out was that you’re part of a production that’s like a well-oiled machine that just runs, and the whole cast is like a family. They’ve been doing it forever.”
Jon Ecker, recognized for his role as Greg Grainger in Chicago Fire, held the position of Lieutenant at Firehouse 40. Even though his appearance on NBC’s Chicago Fire was fleeting, the actor holds excellent moments. All of which he experienced in the Windy City. During his tenure on Chicago Fire, Greg had a short-lived romance with Sylvie in Season 9. Nevertheless, Sylvie ultimately discovered her happy ending and transitioned into a relationship with Matt Casey, relocating to Portland.
Ecker also remarked, “That was a fun show. I had a lot of fun doing research about being a firefighter and wearing all the gear. It’s like a kid going to see the big trucks and stuff. It’s a lot of fun. And people love that show, which is always great to kind of, even if it’s just for a little short run, be a part of something that has such a large fan base.”
Despite everything, Jon appeared optimistic about his character having a solid fan base. As there were aspirations of his return. “They called me once to kind of go back for another episode, and I was working on another show, and I couldn’t do it, and I really wish I had because it’s just a great group of people.”
Ecker concluded by stating, “Should the phone ring again one day, I’d be stoked to return.”
